SDGs
We, MIK, place the starting point of our corporate behavior on “customers’ satisfaction”.
We work to protect the working environment of our customers, the working environment of our employees and the global environment.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the successor to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) formulated in 2001 and are international goals aimed at a sustainable and better world by 2030 described in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.
The initiative, which includes all 193 member states of the United Nations, consists of 17 goals and 169 targets and pledges to “leave no one behind” on the planet.
The SDGs are universal not only for developing countries but also for developed countries themselves, and Japan is actively working on them.
Our Sustainability Initiatives
Kubota’s main product, the Kubota fully automatic rice cooker “Rice Robo”, can perform everything from measuring rice to cooking fully automatically with a simple button operation, reducing the time and effort required for working in the rice cooker. In addition, it achieves significant water savings compared to washing rice by hand, and in addition, the heat dissipation in the cool kitchen cooker is reduced to 1/3 of the normal level.
Commercial oil squeezing and separating machines can squeeze and reuse oil from tempura scum and fried residue, reducing the amount of oil used, reducing waste, and suppressing oil spills into grease traps.
In addition, we handle products that can reduce power consumption and workload, and we will continue to develop and provide products that are friendly to the global environment and the environment in which our customers work.
In order to ensure that customers who purchase our products can use them with peace of mind, we have built a system that expands the scope of our business nationwide by collaborating with maintenance service stores in about 80 regions nationwide, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, and receiving support from delivery and installation to after-sales follow-up.
The Nippon Steel Group promotes eco-friendliness in its office activities as part of its efforts to address environmental issues. As a member of the Group, we set up an eco-challenge every year and are working to reduce the amount of resources used. * The head office has acquired ISO14001. In addition, from the perspective of environmental protection, we have installed solar panels in our company buildings to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
